'Lights Out' director brings Annabelle back to theatres next year!

"Lights Out" director David F. Sandberg is busy in another horror project after the successful release of his directorial debut this July 2016. He has been officially announced as the director of the upcoming sequel to 2014's box-office smash hit spin-off to 'The Conjuring' films.


Principal photography has already begun on New Line Cinema’s “Annabelle 2" which will be helmed by Sandberg, again being produced by Peter Safran and James Wan. The two producers also worked together in the worldwide box-office hit franchise "The Conjuring".
The sequel is penned by Gary Dauberman, and will star Stephanie Sigman (“Spectre”), Talitha Bateman (“The 5th Wave”), Lulu Wilson (“Ouija 2,” “Deliver Us from Evil”), Philippa Anne Coulthard (“After the Dark”), Grace Fulton (“Badland”), Lou Lou Safran (“The Choice”), Samara Lee (“Fox Catcher,” “The Last Witch Hunter”), Tayler Buck, together with Anthony LaPaglia (TV’s “Without a Trace”) and Miranda Otto (Showtime’s “Homeland,” “The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy).
Filming is taking place in Los Angeles and is scheduled to be released May 19, 2017.
